8 years ago we started a movement leading free fitness events at lunchtime for communities to get moving. It was incredible. We just knew that if we built it, they would come. It was an incredible feeing watching Canadians take time for themselves and learn how to move their bodies in a way that made sense for them. 

As the community grew, we knew that we wanted to offer more. More than just workouts, we wanted to offer a way for Canadians to feel their best every day and move in whatever way called to them, wherever they felt called to move. We felt called to continue to form a community and help people all over Canada feel their best and take care of their health. This is why we have created MC Collective! We want you to know what we know, and we want you to feel your best. We want you to learn, grow and move in whatever way feels best for YOU.

A note from the founder…



I don’t believe that we are what the marketing messages say we are. I do not believe that we are lazy or not trying hard enough to take care of ourselves, I believe most of us are overworked, under-recovered, and stressed out past the point of even having enough energy to move our bodies. So when the marketing messages say we just aren’t trying enough or we just don’t want it bad enough, I say no, we just don’t have the right tools...

What makes me so certain about all this?

When we began the movement on Parliament Hill I was amazed at how many of you continued to show up over and over and over again. The saying “if you build it, they will come” took on a whole new meaning, and quickly I began to receive confirmation that what I believed was true. We aren’t lazy, we just need a space to feel welcomed enough and comfortable enough to move. I thought that if I felt intimidated back in university when I first began strength training for the varsity track and field team, how must someone who is just starting to take care of their bodies feel!? 

I wanted to create a space where any body, any person, felt they too could start exactly where they are, free of judgment.
